The Do’s
Leave the bandage on for at least 2 hours after an appointment.
Clean the area around the tattoo at least twice a day with warm water and antibacterial soap.
Cover the tattoo with loose, clean clothing at all times, even when sleeping, for at least 72 hours of healing.
Clean the tattoo at the end of each day because sweat and oil will clog your delicate pores.
After you give your tattoo time to breathe, gently exfoliate the area to keep dead skin cells away. You don’t want scabbed and wrinkled art on you.
Once your tattoo is healed, moisturize it with Hustle Butter or Eucerin (fragrance free) lotion to keep it fresh for years.
Your body, your choice. It is also our art healing on your skin. Take care of yourself, keep hydrated, and eat good food. Your skin will thank you and so will your tattoo.
You know your body better than anyone else.
We want you to have this guide.
The Don’ts
Do not submerge your tattoo in water for at least a week to avoid damage. This means no taking baths, soaking in hot tubs, swimming in the ocean, or going into a sauna.
During the healing, you will probably be itchy. Do not scratch, pick, or peel any part of your tattoo. This could cause discoloration and reopening wounds.
Avoid direct sunlight for two weeks. If you are going out, keep your tattoo out of harm’s way. Once it is healed, use sunscreen to keep it looking fresh.
We love animals, but your brand new tattoo does not. Keep your tattoo covered around them for two weeks while you heal to avoid potential infection.
Do not take advice from random people in your circle about caring for your tattoo. If you have any questions or concerns, let us know. We want to help and keep our art looking beautiful for a lifetime.
